Job title: Market Analyst
Job objective:
A Market Analyst at Hua Hong International, monitors market news and reports, organize the information and review with supervisors and colleagues in an ongoing basis. In addition, the analyst writes special reports on selected topics with the help from colleagues or supervisors.
Job Scope: The position is under the Foundry Consulting group within Hua Hong International. The Foundry Consulting group currently dedicates its service to Shanghai Huali Microelectronics and Hua Hong Group. The position directly reports to a senior position in Foundry Consulting, a designated Foundry Consultant.
Job Duties:
1) Be able to track, select, and compile worldwide semiconductor industry news, announcements, and reports, using guidelines provided by your supervisor to focus on those relevant to our core business. Review and discuss your complied report with your supervisors on a weekly basis.
2) Generate reports that analyze competition, customers and the trends of new products.
3) Semiannually, read the financial releases and webcast of selected customers or potential customers. Make a summary report on financial performance, outlook and any announced strategy changes, new market/product success or failures.
Skills to be developed:
1) Develop your “sources” of information, e.g., the core websites which, combined, will cover most of the news and market trends. Then you would have more time to do in-deep reading and analysis.
2) Develop broad semiconductor market knowledge by your own diligence, mostly can be accomplished by your own on-line answer finding and be diligent in asking questions.
Requirement:
Bachelor degree, major in marketing or related
Must have word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Organizational skills a must
Capacity for working independently, with appropriate supervision, to organize and reconcile disparate data sources, amass and clean large data sets and uncover hidden business insights.
